Following Sister Joan’s virtual talk, “Beauty, Art and Spirituality: a study in soul, in spirit, in bread, and in lilies,” Bernie Pucker owner and director of Pucker Gallery in Boston sent an email to the gallery’s list that began: “We are delighted to share the recording of one of the most moving and meaningful experiences we have witnessed of late, a lecture by Sr. Joan Chittister of the Mount Saint Benedict Community in Erie, PA." The new annual Art and Spirituality speaker series, initiated by the Pucker Family Fund, Pucker Gallery, honors the Erie monastery’s late artist-in-residence Brother Thomas Bezanson and Erie Benedictine Sisters Joan Chittister and Maureen Tobin. Sister Joan gave the inaugural lecture on Sunday, February 28.
